What counts as a minute
An AI minute measures time your receptionist spends handling calls. Your monthly plan includes 500 AI minutes, and the dashboard shows your usage alongside calls, transcripts, and recordings. Review a short supplier update and a longer estimate conversation during testing to assess the time your calls use.
Your receptionist politely ends spam and robocalls. Review your call history to understand the mix of requests reaching your line.
Minutes beyond the included allowance cost $0.20 each, with overage billed monthly. Check usage as you test your chosen coverage, whether that is after-hours answering or all forwarded calls.
Cancelling the plan
Your subscription is month to month, and you can cancel online in one click. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month. Keep your backup number or voicemail ready as part of your call setup.
If the plan lapses, calls route to your backup number or voicemail. That gives callers another route when AI answering is no longer active. Review your forwarding arrangement and backup destination when changing coverage. The service terms explain renewal, cancellation, and your responsibilities for the information you give the receptionist.
How it compares to the alternatives
Compare phone coverage by the work you need handled and the time you need it available. Our plan uses a monthly AI minute allowance with a stated charge for extra usage. A live answering service puts a person into the conversation, which can matter when a caller needs judgment beyond a prepared intake.
A part-time hire can learn your active jobs, coordinate with the crew, and take on office work alongside calls. Consider the hours you need covered and who handles calls outside those hours. For the AI option, test an estimate request, a change order question, and a supplier update. Judge whether the resulting messages support the way you run jobs before choosing a plan.
Questions
What is included in the monthly price?
The plan is $249 per month and includes 500 AI minutes. It covers the call-answering features, including intake, call summaries, urgency handling, English and Spanish, and Google Calendar booking. Website chat and consent-based web-form lead follow-up are optional add-ons. Extra AI minutes cost $0.20 each.
Can I try the receptionist before paying for monthly service?
You can use the fictional business demo without signing up, then request a free trial: 14 days free, capped at 100 minutes. A card is required before forwarding goes live. We'll send a reminder email two days before the trial converts, and you'll be able to cancel online.
What happens when I go past the included minutes?
Additional AI minutes beyond 500 cost $0.20 each, and overage is billed monthly. The dashboard shows your usage so you can review it alongside the calls being handled. Use your requested free trial to see how your estimate requests and job messages contribute to the time used.
Can I cancel anytime, and where do calls go afterward?
You can cancel online in one click, with cancellation effective at the end of your paid month. The subscription runs month to month. If your plan lapses, calls go to your backup number or voicemail. Check that destination when you set up or change your phone coverage.
Do I have to forward all my business calls?
No. You choose whether to forward all calls or only calls that are unanswered, busy, or after hours. We provide a local number, forwarding instructions for your carrier or phone system, and a test call before going live. Pick coverage around how your office and crews work.
Does the price include direct connections to my job software?
Direct connections to contractor job software are not live yet. You can use emailed summaries and the dashboard to enter call details into your own system. Booking into Google Calendar is available. Tell us which software you use, since demand will guide the direct connections we plan.
How should I compare this with a live answering service or hire?
Compare the calls to be handled, coverage hours, billing approach, and work left for you afterward. A live receptionist offers personal judgment, while an employee can bring knowledge of your current jobs and other office duties. Try our demo with realistic requests to evaluate the AI's intake and messages.
